Ernakulam Medical Centre (EMC) started serving the community on 24th of January 1985. The hospital was the result of the vision, hard work and commitment to service of its two founders, the late Shri T.A.Velunny and Shri C.I.Gopalan, the present Managing Director of Ernakulam Medical Centre. In 1985, the hospital had a humble beginning with 50 beds, offering care in basic medical and surgical specialties. In the years since, the institution has seen phenomenal growth and is now, one of the leading multispecialty hospitals in the region with 300 beds and a full complement of specialist doctors.
