Giridhar Eye Institute (GEI) located at Kadavanthara, Cochin is an NABH accredited Eye Hospital offering a wide range of comprehensive eye care services. Established on 8th September 1997, GEI is a centre of excellence strongly committed to values and ethical conduct. Patient satisfaction - the primary goal of the Institution, is guided by the philosophy of personalized care at an affordable cost.

It is the first eye Hospital in Kerala to receive the ISO 9001:2008 certification and it has also successfully achieved Safe-I Hospital Certification from National Rural Health Mission, Govt. of India. Giridhar Eye Institute is accredited by NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospital and Healthcare Providers). From a small space of 2000 Square feet GEI has been fortunate to grow its patient load & facilities to its present capacity. Today, it is one of the largest referral centers for the treatment of diseases pertaining to Retina, Ocular trauma, Cataract & Glaucoma, Uvea, Orbit and Oculoplasty and complicated surgical interventions. GEI serves over a lakh patients annually. With its five fully equipped operation theaters, it performs more than 4000 surgeries every year.

GEI's active involvement in community centric services, benefiting the eye health of the public at large, has its origins in the philosophical underpinnings of the Institution. It performs more than 400 free surgeries and treats over 8000 patients through free camps every year.
