Objective : The two years Distance Learning Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Fire Science conducted by The Global Open University, Nagaland has been designed for meeting the demand of the growing needs of experts in the fields of fire safety, rescue services, hazardous materials management, emergency planning, fire investigation, casualities safe guarding, fire insurance, fire causes analysis, fire behaviour, fire analysis etc.

Careers in fire Science

Fire Science and Safety refer to precautions that are taken to prevent or reduce the likelihood of a fire that may result in death, injury or property damage, alert those in a structure to the presence of an uncontrolled fire in the event one occurs, better enable those threatened by a fire to survive in and evacuate from affected areas or to reduce the damage caused by fire. This includes precautions made during the construction of a building or the existing structures.

Accordingly, the Application Form duly filled-in along with six stamp size photographs, copies of certificates and mark sheets and Bank Draft for the required amount in the name of “The Global Open University, Nagaland”as detailed in our Package Info and Admission procedure should be sent by registered post or speed post only to our Authorised Admission Counseling Centre at Tiruvalla. Please prepare application only after obtaining our Package Info and Admission procedure.

Examination Fee : A fee of Rs. 150 per paper is to be paid before appearing in the Annual Examinations to be held at different Examination Centres mentioned on page number 17.

Master's Thesis : All students are required to submit a Master's Thesis at the end of fourth semester.

Assignments : All admitted participants must submit subjectwise assignments based on the Mini Project Reports to be prepared by them on a topic related to each of the subjects.
