MAJ Hospital - Multi specialty hospital

WELCOME TO MAR AUGUSTINE JUBILEE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL !
MAJ Hospital started serving the community in 1946 . A small dispensary was set up as a one room establishment under the auspices of the parish on November 1946 , when Rev.Fr. Joseph Panjikkaran was the Vicar . In 1951, it was converted to a hospital with 21 beds when Dr. Francis Chithalan assumed charge as medical officer. Various vicars who were in charge of the parish from time to time, the sisters and doctors who were running the hospital and parishioners worked untiringly for the development and growth of this medical institution. As a result of major development schemes implemented from 1953 to 1968 MAJ hospital progressed to a 300 beded multi specialty hospital with various specialty departments.
