The trek can be easily done in the month of September. The weather is very pleasant during this time, with warm sunny days, temperatures hovering around 20 to 25 degrees centigrade and evenings being cool, breezy in nature. The small meadows are in full bloom with variety of flowers, and wild berries growing all around. Rainfall is less and only post afternoon short showers are expected on some days.
By October the evenings start to get cold and the colors change hue from green to brown. The landscape is enveloped in the cinnamon autumn hue. In the year 2021, the Kedarkantha peak even witnessed snowfall for 2 days at the peak in the 3rd week of October. It is rare to have snowfall as early as October, but there is always a possibility.
By November month the days are cold as well and temperatures begin to slide to 0 or even sub zero in night. Snow fall is more than expected in the month of November, from the first week itself.
