Chardham: Char means four and Dham means Shrines. Chardham is a name of four sacred shrines in India. Chardham is a pilgrimage sites for Hindus and it is believed that Hindus visit here to wash away their sins and attain Nirvana. This is the holiest place for pilgrims and thousand of devotees do this journey every year. These four famous pilgrims are Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath nestled in the holy peaks of Himalays. These four sites are the most sacred sites for Hindus as it is the most holy pilgrims of India and referred as the Chardham (four sacred spots).
