Educational Qualifications: Bachelor of Science with Physics or Chemistry from a recognised University. Must have passed the Fire Service Course from a recognised Institution.

Physical Standards:

(1) Height - 165 cm. (relaxable by 5 cm. for candidates from hill areas)
(2) Weight - 50 Kg Minimum
(3) Chest - 81 cm (Normal) 86.5 cm (expanded)
(4) Eye sight - 6/6 without any correction

Disqualification:

(1) Wearing glasses/colour blindness/ squint eye.
(2) Flat feet.
(3) Knock Knee.
(4) Deformity of limp / extra limb.

Selection Process: Main Examination, Physical Endurance test and Interview.
