Reserve Bank of India (RBI) invites Online Applications for recruitment of Assistant Librarian and Assistant Archivist in Grade 'A'. The closing date for online registration is 9th October 2015.

Eligibility: Indian citizens, citizens of Nepal and subjects of Bhutan, persons of Indian origin who have migrated from Myanmar and Sri Lanka with the intention of permanently settling in India and in whose favour Eligibility Certificates have been issued by Government of India.

Age Limit: Between 21 and 30 years as on 01/09/2015 (candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/09/1985 and not later than 01/09/1994).

Pay Scale: Starting basic pay of 17,100/-p.m. in the scale of 17,100- 1000(11)- 28100-EB- 1000(4)- 32100- 1100(1)- 33200 applicable to Officers in Grade A .

Educational Qualifications:

Assistant Librarian ->

(1) Essential - Bachelor s Degree in Arts/Commerce/Science and Master's Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science of a recognized University/ Institution.
(2) Desirable - Diploma in Computer Applications from a recognized University or Institute Qualified in the national level test( NET/SLET/SET) conducted by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC Short term course on Preservation and Conservation of Library Materials.
(3) Experience - 03 years' professional experience in a library under Central/ State Government/ Autonomous or Statutory organization/ PSU/ University or Recognized Research or Educational Institution.

Assistant Archivist ->

(1) Essential - Second Class Master s Degree in Modern Indian History and Diploma in Archival Studies from recognized university/institute.
(2) Experience - Essential: 2 years experience of research in Modern Indian History/ teaching of Modern Indian History in a recognized institution. Desirable: 2 years experience in an Archival Office in a supervisory capacity.
