Roopkund trek Uttarakhand

The Roopkund Trek is to a Himalayan tourist what the picture 'Sholay' is to a hardcore Bollywood hard. Even-handed like Sholay is the wide-ranging Bollywood performer (it has act, production, joking, and passion), Roopkund is the archetypal Himalayan trek. This hike has snowcaps, fields, lakes, forests, and folktale; and yes, it has a fascinating remembrance too. Roopkund is a mountain lake, two-faced in the Garhwal Himalayas in the Chamoli region of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Located at a high elevation, the lake leftovers frozen almost through the year. Roopkund is also baptised the 'Mystery Lake', or the 'Skeletal Lake', on explanation of the numerous hundred humanoid skeletons found dispersed in and around the brook.
