UPSC recruitment 2016: Apply for 257 jobs in EPFO

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) seeks applications in the Enforcement Officers/Accounts Officers in Employees Provident Fund Organisation, Ministry of Labour and Employment. Interested candidates may register online at the official website, upsc.gov.in.
The registration closes at 11:59 pm on June 23. The candidates can print the submitted copy of their completed forms latest by 11:59 pm on June 24.
The posts will carry a two year probation time and the successful candidates can be posted anywhere in the country except for the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
The total number of vacancies is 257, out of which 30 are reserved for SC, 6 for ST, 21 for physically challenged, 84 for OBC and 137 for UR.

Eligibility criteria:
Age limit: 30 years

Educational qualification: Bachelors in Law

Pay scale: Rs 9,300 Rs 34,800/month

There will be a written test. Those who clear the written test will be called for the interview round.

Paper pattern:
Time duration: 2 hours

Medium of answering: Hindi/English

Type of questions: Objective type questions (multiple choice questions)
Marks: All questions will carry equal marks.

Penalty: Wrong answers will carry penalty marks. For every wrong answer, the candidate will lose one-third of the marks allotted to the question. Leaving a question blank will not deduct any marks.

Syllabus: Current events, development issues, Indian freedom struggle, Indian polity and economy, general accounting principles, industrial relations, labour laws, general science & knowledge of computer applications, general mental ability & quantitative aptitude and social security in India.

The paper will also test the English language skills of the applicants.
