SENIOR SECONDARY COURSE - This Course is designed for those who have passed the Xth standard or equivalent examination from a recognised Board and would like to continue their education towards a Senior Secondary Certification, equivalent to XII standard.

You can choose subjects from the Scheme of Studies given. However, you will be required to successfully complete a minimum of five subjects with atleast one language or atmost two languages, which is compulsory for certification.

Procedure for online submission of application for NIOS admission

Log on to www.nios.ac.in or www.nos.org
Click on the link for online application
You will be directed to a page with information on four streams of admission (eligibility and admission details).
Please read the instructions carefully.
Then proceed to login page of online registration
Register yourself on NIOS website by clicking on the link "click here to register" (you are required to create an ID and password)
After this is done verify your email ID and password
You will be asked to reconfirm your email ID and password.
Once this is done you can proceed to fill in the online application form.
Upload passport size photograph
Select study center
Click on the 'next button' to preview your application form
Click on 'edit button' for any changes
After this your application will appear in "preview mode"
After this click on "Payment page"
The payment page appears on the screen where you need to fill up the bank draft details or credit card details
Submit online application
On submission of your form you will receive an acknowledgement slip with important details like unique reference number, your personal details, fees details,etc (this will be sent to your email ID with which you have registered.
