We are sourcing globally for certified Welders, for a range of Oil & Gas opportunities in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Terms of employment will be contracts ranging from 12 to 36 months.

DUTIES
Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications.
Operate manual or sem-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as:
Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
Plasma Arc Welding (PAW)
Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
Oxy-acetylene Welding (OAW)
Resistance welding
Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)
Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
Operate brazing and soldering equipment.
Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears, straighterners, benders.
Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers.

REMUNERATION
CAD 24 per hour (8 hours per day, 5 days per week, so around CAD 720 to 1000 per week).
Overtime paid at time and a half (150%).
Accommodation provided.
Meals provided.
Annual leave of 4 weeks per annum.
Sick leave.
Emergency medical.
Airfare to relocate from and to place of origin.
Position Requirements
Skills / Industry Qualifications Required:
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Certified welder.
1 to 3 + years welding experience.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA
Experience with Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
Experience with Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
Experience with Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
Experience with Plasma Arc Welding (PAW)
Experience with Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
Experience with Oxy-acetylene Welding (OAW)
Experience with Resistance welding
Experience with Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)
Education Level Required: Tech School
Experience Required to qualify for consideration: 1 to 4 Years
