Om Parvat is one of the mainly famous mountains of the large Himalayan range. It is famous by different names such as Adi Kailash, Little Kailash, Baba Kailash, Chhota Kailash etc.

Located at a height of 6191 metres, Om Parvat lies in the Darchula district of Western Nepal, and Pithoragarh area of Uttarakhand, India. In a lot of ways, it greatly resembles Mount Kailash in Nepal. The way there is the holy lake Mansarovar near Mount Kailash, near Om Parvat lie Parvati Lake and JongLingKong Lake. Now as the Mansarovar Lake, the JongLingKong Lake is also considered to be holy.

The mountain itself holds a great sacred importance for Hindus. The snowfall disposition against the stony background of the mountain forms a feeling of Aum which is a highly secred chant in the Hindu religion. During the month of August-September, this feeling of Aum can be seen extremely clearly.

Om Parvat is located on the Indo-Nepalese border, where the Aum faces India, and the backside faces Nepal.
