Karnataka is one of the states in which Doctor Of Pharmacy colleges were established when the course was introduced in the year 2008. Karnataka has 3rd highest number of Pharm.D colleges in india only after Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Admission into the Pharmacy colleges is made through an common entrance exam called “K-CET” conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Out of 30 seats 9 seats would be filled by management quota while the rest fall under Convenor quota of K-CET.
What is this course?
Pharm D stands for Doctor of Pharmacy – an alternate to an MBBS degree and much less expensive. It is integrated six year course that gives the student a Doctorate degree. That includes one year of internship. A Pharm D graduates is of high demand in hospitals and private medical companies with high earning potential.

Eligibility
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D)-6 year-Pass in 10+2 Examination with 50 % marks in Biology/Mathematics separately and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics put together.
