Symbiosis Institute of Technology was established in 2008. It is a constituent of Symbiosis International University (SIU) Pune. Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech Admission in SIT Pune
The Candidates who are really keen to join Symbiosis Institute of Technology Pune for B.Tech Program need to follow below criteria:

Passed 10+2 or 12th or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry /Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
Good Scores in any one of the following entrance exams: Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) or JEE (Main) or MHT-CET.
If the Candidate belongs to NRI/PIO Category or Foreign Nationals, they do not have to appear for entrance exam.
IB and Cambridge Board Students
Following eligibility rules will be followed for according equivalence to school level certificate of IB / Cambridge board student:

IB Board
The candidate must have been awarded full IB Diploma as a qualification for entry to the professional course at the institute and is required to have passed the subjects of Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry at Higher Level (HL), with a minimum score of 24 credits and completion of other mandatory requirements for award of IB Diploma. DP course certificate by IB shall NOT qualify for equivalence.

GCSE Examinations
A candidate intending to join professional course at the institute must have passed a minimum of 5 subjects including English. The candidate must have passed subjects of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry in ADVANCED LEVEL (A Level) and English at a minimum of ORDINARY Level (O Level) in A, B or C Grade.

The conversions of IB and IGCSE Examination grades to the scores that are used are as suggested on the AIU (Association of Indian Universities) web portal.

B.Tech Admission Process in SIT Pune
The admissions of the eligible students to B.Tech program at Symbiosis Institute of Technology Pune will be based on merit in any one of the Entrance Exams SET, JEE (Main) and MHT-CET.
