ipu-cet-2017-notificationIPU CET 2017 B.Voc Exam helps the candidates to seek admissions to the undergraduate programme in vocational studies. The online application forms for IPU CET 2017 are now available on the official website of IP university (www.ipu.ac.in). IPU CET 2017 B. Voc test will be conducted on May 13, 2017.

Candidates will be able to check the CET 2017 Results online at the official website of IP University on May 30, 2017. Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination, also, the candidate must have passed in English subject.

The duration of the exam will be 150 minutes and there will be 150 Objective Type Questions. The syllabus of the examination would be based on class 12thunder 10+2 scheme.

IPU CET 2017 Exam Dates for B.Voc
According to the official notification of GGSIPU, IPU CET 2017 Application process for B. Voc will continue till April 18, 2017 (upto 4 PM). IPU Entrance Exam for B. Voc shall be conducted on May 13, 2017. Following are the other important IPU CET 2017 Exam dates:

IPU CET 2017 Application process commences from February 15, 2017
Last date to fill the IPU CET 2017 Application form April 18, 2017 (Tuesday)
IPU CET 2017 Admit Card can be downloaded from May 06, 2017
IPU entrance exam date May 13, 2017
IPU CET Result will be announced on May 30, 2017
IPU CET 2017 Eligibility for B.Voc
The eligibility conditions vary for various courses under B. Voc. The minimum required qualification is a certificate of passing class 12th under 10+2 scheme. Candidates with diploma in architecture will not be considered as eligible. Given below is the detailed information on the IPU CET 2017 Eligibility criteria for different courses under B.Voc:

For Applied Arts and Interior Design Specialization: Pass certificate of Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects or an equivalent degree/diploma course. Additionally, candidate must have passed in English in qualifying examination.
For Automobile, Construction Technology, Power Distribution Management, Printing and Publishing, Software Development Specialization: Pass certificate of Class 12th with English as subject of study core in qualifying exam or an equivalent degree.
For Mobile Communication and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Specialization: Pass certificate of Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects or an equivalent degree/diploma course. Additionally, candidate must have passed in English in qualifying examination.
IPU CET 2017 Application Form for B.Voc
IPU CET 2017 Application form can now be obtained on the official website of GGSIPU. Candidates must note that the IPU CET 2017 Application Form cannot be filled in any other mode except online mode. To fill the application form of IPU CET 2017, candidates must perform the following steps:

Visit the official website of IP University.
Look for IPU CET Application link and complete the registration process to obtain login id and password.
In the application form, fill in personal and general information such as CET Code, Name of the candidate, Father s/Mother s name, date of birth, Category, qualifying examination, contact details, etc.
Upload scanned copy of photograph, signature and left thumb impression in the dimensions as directed in the instructions and select Delhi as IPU CET 2017 Exam Center.
Enter Captcha and click on I agree button. Thereafter, click on submit button.
Lastly pay 1000 INR (taxes/charges excluded), by entering the payment gateway, and fill in details required of the credit card/debit card or make payment via net banking.
It is advisable to keep a printed copy of the IPU CET 2017 Application form for further procedures.

IPU CET 2017 Admit Card for B.Voc
IPU CET 2017 Admit card will be available online. Candidate can download it by visiting the official website of IPU. IPU CET 2017 Admit Card will be released 7 days before the IPU CET B.Voc Exam date.

Candidate must print two copies of the IPU CET Admit card and carry it to the exam center along with two photographs. The candidate has to submit one copy to the invigilator while other must be retained for IPU CET Selection Process. To download the IPU CET 2017 Admit card perform the steps given below:

IPU CET 2017 Exam Pattern for B.Voc
IPU CET 2017 for B. Voc will be conducted on May 13, 2017. There are four sections in the IPU Entrance exam i.e. English Language and Comprehension, Numerical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness including Computer Awareness.

IPU Entrance exam comprises 150 questions to be attempted in 150 minutes (2 hours 30 minutes). The questions will be objective type for 600 marks overall. The table below elaborates on the details of the IPU CET 2017 Exam Pattern for B. Voc:

IPU CET 2017 Result for B.Voc
IPU CET 2017 Results for B. Voc will be announced 15 days after IPU Entrance exam has been conducted. Candidates can access their results online on May 30, 2017. Candidates must follow the steps given below to check the IPU CET:

After the announcement of the results, IPU CET 2017 Merit List for B.Voc is prepared on the basis of candidate s performance in IPU CET:

Candidate with higher marks in Numerical Reasoning part of IPU CET shall be ranked higher.
If candidates secure equal marks in the aggregate as well as in Numerical Reasoning separately in IPU CET 2017, then the candidate getting higher marks in Logical Reasoning shall be given higher rank.
In case tie continues to exist then the candidate older in age shall be ranked higher.
IPU CET 2017 Reservation for B.Voc
According to GGSIPU guidelines, there are certain reservation policies for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories, widows or wards of Defence personnel and PwD category. Such candidates will be granted 5% relaxation in marks as minimum eligibility requirement.

For University Schools of Studies and Government Institutions Located in NCT of Delhi

85% of the sanctioned intake shall be allocated for Delhi Region. IPU CET2017 Reservation of seats for university schools of studies and government institutes located in Delhi is given below:

Delhi Scheduled Tribe (DST) 7.5%
Delhi Defence Category (D Def.) 5%
Delhi Persons with Disability (DPwD) 3%

IPU Counselling for B.Voc
IPU Counselling for B.Voc is conducted in offline mode. After the IPU CET 2017 Merit List is prepared, candidates will be called for first round of counselling.

The details about the venue and schedule of counselling will be displayed on the official website. IPU CET 2017 counselling will take place in three rounds, depending on the availability of the seats.

Candidates, whose names will appear in the merit list will report to the counselling venue in person with all required documents.
Candidates have to then mark their presence to the officer and submit the counselling fee.
Then, collect admission receipt from admission officer.
It is mandatory to appear for IPU CET Seat Allotment. If candidate fails to do so his/her candidature will be cancelled.
Candidates have to pay the course fee to freeze allotted seat.
If candidate wants to withdraw his/her candidature, there will be specified date and timings to do so. Candidates will have to submit the Performa at the Reception Counter, Admission Branch, Administrative Block, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Sector-16 C, Dwarka, New Delhi-110078.
The admission fee will be refunded after deduction of 1000 INR from the total amount. Such candidates can appear for only IPU Spot Counselling.
The second counselling session will be conducted, depending upon the vacant seats. It is possible that the venue of counselling remains unchanged.
Those who paid the counselling fee in first round will not pay it in the second round of counselling.
IPU Admission stops after all the seats have been filled.
ipu-cet-2017-notificationIndraprastha Common Entrance Test, IPU CET 2017 is conducted yearly for admission to multiple undergraduate, post graduate and integrated programmes offered by GGSIPU. IPU CET 2017 Application Process will commence from January 30, 2017. The exam for all the programmes is scheduled in different shifts and dates in the month of March and IPU CET 2017 Results of the same were declared in the following month.

IPU CET 2016 Counselling and Admission will be done considering the cutoff declared by IPU CET 2016 for its participating institutes. So far, IPU CET 2016 had released Round 3 Cutoffs of the Following Streams. These cutoffs are calculated on the basis of multiple factors such as difficulty level of the paper, availability of seats, average marks scored by the candidates in the IPU CET 2016 test and total test population.

However, these cutoff are observed to go down with the progress of each round of IPU CET 2016 Counselling.

After these rounds, a Spot counselling was also organized offline. It depended on the number of seats that were vacant after all the counselling rounds. Students who qualified IPU CET but were not admitted, were eligible for the round. They are supposed to go through the seat status and report in the colleges having vacant seats.

Cut off What is it and the factors it depends upon?
Cut off is the last rank in IPU CET after which admission in a particular courses are closed. Better the rank, chances of getting branch of your choice are higher.

Cut-off depends on the following factors:

Total number of seats available in each course
Reservation for various categories
Difficulty level of IPU CET
Marking schemes
Popularity of a branch
Popularity of college
Shift (morning or evening)
IPU CET 2016 Cutoff Trend
Branches like Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication (ECE) are the hot favourite courses. The seats of these courses are filled first in each college.

Seats in other branches like Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Information Technology (IT) and Mechanical and Automation Engineering (MAE) are generally filled later.

Also it is seen that the admissions in the morning shifts closes before the evening shift in all colleges.

Popularity of colleges also play a major role in determining the cut off ranks of the branches. Admissions in the colleges ranked better closes first.

Since 85% seats are reserved for Delhi region students. Therefore, closing ranks in each category for Outside Delhi region students is lower as compared to Delhi region students.

Difficulty level of IPU CET and marking schemes also have an impact on cut off ranks. Also in some cases the location of colleges determine the cut off ranks.

Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Engineering has seats reserved for Sikh Minorities.

Mahveer Swami Institute of Technology has seats reserved for Jain Minorities.

Note: Admissions are strictly based on the ranks secured in IPU CET. So students failing to get the desired cut will not get course and college of their choices. The students will be called for counselling on the basis of their IPU CET rank.
