VITEEE 2015 Selection Process

For admission, candidates would be selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam. Higher the marks better is the chance of getting admission in the

desired college and courses. There are several factors which would be considered in the allotment of seat, which are described below in the article. All allotments shall be

done as per inter-se merit list, created thru screening from cutoff benchmark.

VITEEE 2015 Exam Pattern

Exam pattern is a blueprint of the exam and the question paper. Every candidate must read the exam pattern to know about the number, type of questions, marking scheme and

duration of the exam. Following are the points regarding the pattern which will help candidates to know and score better in the exam:

Candidate will be given 2 hours 30 minutes or 150 minutes to attempt the question paper.
No marks will be deducted for wrong answers.
There shall be 3 sections, of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology, in the exam.
40 questions shall be asked from each section.
Total number of questions in the exam is 120.
1 mark shall be given for every correct answer and no marks will be deducted for negative marking
VITEEE 2015 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the exam and filling the application form, candidates must read the eligibility criteria to know if he is eligible to participate or not. It is a set of

terms and conditions that are defined as per age, education and nationality, which must be satisfied by the candidate. Following are the clauses of eligibility:

Candidate must be born on or after 1 July 1993.

It is necessary to complete class XII or any equivalent examination from a state or central recognized education board OR Two year Pre-University Examination conducted by a

recognized Board OR HSC examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma or Advanced (A) level General Certificate Education (GCE)

examination.
He must score the qualifying exam with a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, Math or Biology. (50% for SC/ST and candidates from Jammu Kashmir and Northeastern

states)

VITEEE 2015 Application Form

Interested candidates can fill the application form in either online or offline mode in the 1st week of December 2014. In the application form, you have to fill complete

and correct details of personal, communicational and educational information. You must send the application form by March 2015.

Online Application Mode

Access the official website of VIT University and click “apply online” link.
Enter all the details – name, address, mobile number, email ID, category, education, passing year and percentage.
Submit the application form and take its printout.
Send the printout of the confirmation page to the university.
Offline Application
You can acquire the physical copy of Application Form of VITEEE 2015 in the following ways:

Buy the application form from VIT University counter.
Send a request letter to the university for the VITEEE 2015 Application Form.
Buy the application form from designated post offices.
Application Fees
Candidates are required to pay Rs.900 (online) and Rs.950 (offline) as application fees by any of these modes:

Online: provide details of credit/debit card (card number, expiry date, CVV number) and make payment.
Offline: demand draft must be made in favor of “VIT University”, payable at Vellore.

VITEEE 2015 Admit Card

Candidates who complete the application submission process successfully will be sent the admit card.
You must bring the admit card to the exam hall.
It is suggested to preserve the admit card in the best condition till the admission process is complete.
No editing/mutilation/modification of any kind must be done on the hall ticket.
You can download the admit card from the official website by entering application number.

VITEEE 2015 Result

You can check the result of the exam on the official website of VIT University.
For this, you have to enter roll number and birth date in the fields.
A text message indicating the result would be sent on candidate’s mobile number.
Result would be issued in May 2015.

VITEEE 2015 Cutoff and Merit List

After the result is issued, candidates would be screened through benchmark of minimum marks.
This benchmark is known as cutoff and it is applied categorically as well.
You can check cutoff marks and merit list on the official website of the university.
Selected candidates would be enlisted in the merit list in decreasing order of marks.
They will be asked to enter the options of colleges and courses in decreasing order of priority.

VITEEE 2015 Counselling

Counselling schedule will be issued by the university.
Candidates shall be able to fill the options online in the decreasing order of preference.
Thereafter, they shall be called for counselling as per the merit list ranking.
You must reach the counselling venue with all the necessary documents and certificates.
They must be in originals and one set of photocopy.
Counselling venues – Chennai and Vellore campus.

VITEEE 2015 Seat Allotment

On allotment, you must confirm the allotment by reporting to the institute and paying the fees.
You can check the allotment status on the official website of the university.
For this, enter application number and roll number.
The following factors would be considered while allotting a seat to the candidate:

Availability of seats
Number of seats in college and course
Reservation norms
Merit list ranking
Opening and closing ranks
