The Institute of Corporate Sustainability Management (ICSM) is a highly respected and proficient team, which is actively working towards realising the vision of leveraging Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Focusing on enhancing and enabling enterprise competitiveness in a market-driven environment. The team has diverse experience from Industry and Academics. Through its activities, ICSM has been established an institutional framework that would take up higher learning in Training, MDPs, Research and Consultancy on CSR Services for Industry and Civil Society.
Path already travelled ….

1. Established South Asia’s first higher learning Institute on CSR (CSR – Centre of Excellence, Mysore) affiliated to the University of Mysore – offering Masters Business Administration (MBA) and Doctoral Programme (Ph.D) in CSR.
2. Developed India’s first Academic Curricula and pedagogy for MBA in CSR.
3. Launched Asia’s first ever web-based Advanced Post Graduate Certificate Course in CSR. This course has been evolved in participation with ten leading Indian Universities and also by the London School of Economics. Since last year more than 75 leading industry executives, prominent NGO’s and developmental experts opted this course.
4. ICSM has put together a Management Development Programme in CSR and Corporate Ethics.
5. Lend itself to various consultancies and projects revolving around CSR and welfare initiatives with Industry and Government.
6. Conducted a series of workshop and seminars on CSR & Corporate Ethics.
Highlights of our work….

(a) Developed nations first Code of Ethics for India Industry under the aegis of National Human Rights Commission(NHRC), Government of India. This Code of Ethics is under the process of notification by the NHRC. It has been well received by 56 countries, wherein respective countries are in process to emulate the code of ethics of NHRC of India.
(b) Designed a Counselling Toolkit for Adolescent Girl Child supported by National Commission for Women(NCW an statutory body under Govt of India) This is also considered India’s first comprehensive training of counsellors to facilitate the all round growth and development of adolescent girls. It would be administered through the school system; the Toolkit will soon be taken up as a National Programme in partnership with prominent civil society organisations and with the respective State Governments.
(c)Under the aegis of WHO through CII, India’s first “Healthy Workplace Code for Indian Industry” was developed by Dr.Debasis Bhattacharya as one of the principal investigators.
