Non-Invasive Prenatal Test is a simple blood test where maternal blood can be tested for fetal chromosomal aneuploidy by testing cf- DNA from fetus in the maternal blood. It can reduce the need of Invasive procedures like Amniocentesis or Chorionic Villous Sampling (CVS) which can increase the chances of miscarriage. NIPT requires a simple maternal blood draw and does not increase the chances of miscarriage.
