Dayara Bugyal is a beautiful trek high up in the alpines and meadows of Uttarakhand, which is adorned with breathtaking sights in Indian Himalaya. The word 'Bugyal', in local dialect, means 'high altitude meadows' or 'nature's own gardens'. Dayara Bugyal is a picturesque meadow, situated at an elevation of about 3, 048 meters above the sea level, located amidst snow capped Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarkashi district within the hill state of Uttarakhand. Dayara Bugyal is one of the most scenic spots with vast expanse of alpine grasslands. In terms of interesting activities one can do, Dayara Bugyal has a lot to offer. Apart from the breathtaking views of surrounding snow covered higher Himalayan peaks. Dayara Bugyal is gentle landscape, breathtakingly beautiful meadows of alpine flowers and ease of access complement the rugged, mountain wilderness. Dayara Bugyal is splashed with colour as it bloomed with hundreds different beautiful flowers, taking on various shades of Colors as time progressed.

ITINERARY:

DAY 01: RISHIKESH - UTTARKASHI - RAITHAL (195 KMS. 6 7 HRS DRIVE)
Morning after breakfast drive to Raithal. On arrival check in at the hotel / camp. Overnight stay at the Tourist Bungalow or Tent.

UTTARKASHI: Uttarkashi is a small and beautiful town, situated between two rivers: Varuna and Ashi, whose water flow into the Bhagirathi from either side of the town. Elevated, at a height of 1588 meters, this little town is very similar to Kashi and Varanasi, in that it has the same kind of temples and ghats and likewise, a north or 'Uttar' facing river. The major temple in Uttarkashi is The Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Two other very important temples are located in the Chowk area are the Annapurna Temple and the Bhairav Temple. Once it is said, there were 365 temples here. Hiuen Tsang referred to this place as Brahma Pura, while the Skanda Puran has recorded it as Varunavata. It is believed that in the second millennium of Kaliyug Kashi will be submerged, and Uttarkashi will replace it as an important religious centre.

DAY 02: RAITHAL VILLAGE WALKS OR RELAX / OVERNIGHT STAY IN THE TOURIST BUNGALOW OR TENTS.

RAITHAL: Situated at an of 7000 ft. the camp / Bungalow is 35 kms from the Uttarkashi and about 195 kms from Rishikesh. The surroundings are also aptly suited to cater to the entire range of value added activity included in the culture. Quaint villages with multi storied and multi functional wooden houses to explore, a whole new culture and traditions.

Culture & Tradition
Ancient temples here have some astonishing traditions; parts of the valley Raithal worship Me Jagtaba. There are two other gods whom the people in this valley worship, Samashwar, whose temple is at Raithal.

DAY 03: RAITHAL - DAYARA BUGYAL (7 KMS TREK / 5 -6 HRS)
Morning after breakfast start trek up to Dayara. 07 kms Trek from Raithal with packed Lunch. and on arrival evening tea, cookies with camp fire Overnight stay in Camp.

DAY 04: DAYARA - DARYA TOP DAYARA. (HIKING)
Morning after breakfast trek to Darya Top (12,000 -13,000 ) with packed lunch. It gives you a close up view of peaks like- Bandar Poonch, Kalanag, Draupdi ka Danda, Gangotri I,II,III and Srikantha. Return to Dyara and on arrival evening tea, cookies with camp Fire. Overnight stay in tents.

DAY 05: DAYARA BARSU - UTTARKASHI RISHIKESH (TREK + DRIVE)
Morning after breakfast down trek to Barsu Village with packed lunch. On arrival at Barsu and drive back to Rishikesh or haridwar or Dehradun Tours Ends.
