In this work we propose to move the traditional FTP service to the cloud. We implement FTP service on Windows Azure Platform along with the auto-scaling cloud feature. Based on this, we implement a benchmark tomeasure the performance of our Cloud FTP. This case study illustrates the potential benefits and technical issues associated with the migration of the traditional applications to the clouds.
