Sri Kalabyraveshwaraswamy Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital & Research Center (SKAMCH&RC) was established in the year 1996 - 1997 to meet the increasing demand for Ayurveda education and to revive this ancient system of medicine. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka and recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi, Government of Karnataka and Department of Ayush, Government of India.
Sri Kalabyraveshwaraswamy Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital & Research Center (SKAMCH&RC) is providing very good quality education to 100 under graduate students in each batch and is providing all the facilities for learning the science and to enable them to become good Ayurveda Doctors. Post-Graduate studies were started in the year 2010 - 2011. SKAMCH&RC provides Post-Graduate education in 5 specialized branches of Ayurveda viz., Panchakarma, Kayachikitsa, Prasuti Tantra Evam Stri Roga, Shalya Tantra and Shalakya Tantra with 6 students in each batch. SKAMCH&RC aspires to be a model of excellence, recognized throughout Karnataka for innovative education, dynamic research activities and creative approaches to practice.

Eligibility Criteria:
Students must have passed the 12th Std/two year PUC examination of the PUC education board, Bnagalore or any other examination recognized as equivalent therein with English as one of the languages and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects with minimum of 50% of marks in the aggregate of the relevant Science subjects(Physics, chemistry and Biology of the 12th Std./Second year PUC examination only).
However in the case of students belonging to SC/ST the minimum requirements in percentage of marks for admission to the first BAMS Course is relaxed by 10% marks
Candidate should have attained the age of 17 years as on 1st October of the year in which admission is sought or as prescribed by the University
The foreign students can seek admission to course of Ayurveda provided; the University recognizes the basic qualification of that country or the student submits as equivalent certificate from Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. An eligibility certificate should be obtained from Rjiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka. There should be a specific mention of the subject 'English' in the marks sheet. As per the guidelines of the university, just 'Foreign Language' mentioned in the marks sheet may not be sufficient for eligibility.
Any other requirements are subjects to change made from time to time by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka which is posted in the university website:www.rguhs.ac.in
Note: As per prevalent norms all Non-Karnataka applicants who seek admission for the BAMS should obtain the 'ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE' issued by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore

SKAMCH & RC hostel offers comfortable stay for students with all amenities during their course of study. The hostel is clean & comfortable and each room is provided with adequate facilities for stay and study.

Mess facilities are available with well maintained dining hall inside the hostel.
Variety of meals are prepared hygienically and served aesthetically.
