The Everest Base Camp trekking is probably the most famous trekking route in the world and of course, the most popular trekking trail in Everest region of Khunbu Nepal, As it offers breathtaking mountain panoramas with a unique and unforgettable experience with awesome views of the world’s highest and most beautiful mountains Mt. Everest (8,848M) and many other giants So, if you like to Trek, this is one of the most exciting places in the world to do it.. Everest Base Camp has been famed since the very first successful expedition to the Nepalese side of Everest in the 1953 by Sir Edmund Hilary and Tensing Norgay Sherpa. Basically, Everest Base Camp Trek is famous for its spectacular mountain peaks and friendliness of its inhabitants (Sherpa). Khumbu has become the most popular Trekking destinations to tourists of the all over the world. To reach this part of the Himalaya within a limited time, we have designed this two week trekking itinerary to the Everest Base Camp which runs directly to and from Lukla.
The trekking to Everest base camp begins after exploring the temples, shrines, bazaars and restaurants of Kathmandu, we take an exciting mountain flight to the mountain airstrip of Lukla, the heart of Everest Region, then after around three hours walk, we reach at Phakding and then we continue north up to Dudh Kosi valley and to Namche bazaar, where we spend one day for acclimatization. Then next day, we continue our trekking to Kala Pattar and subsequently to the Everest base camp. We have one day rest in Dingboche or Pheriche in between and for some side-trips and for further acclimatization from the area, one can have some magnificent views of Everest along with Nuptse, Lohtse and Mount Pumori and return to Lukla and catch the flight bank to Kathmandu.
Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the most rewarding adventure trip in the world as one can view the superb Himalayan sceneries including of Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Nuptse (7855m), Mt. Pumori (7161m), Mt. Changaste (7550m), Mt. Lingterin (6679m), Mt. Amadablam (6856m), Mt. Thamserku (6723m), Mt. Kantega( 6685m), Mt.Kusum Khagaru (6367m),Mt.Kongde (6011m), Mt. Khumbila (5761m) , Mt. Twache peak (6367m), Mt. Cholaste (6335m) ,Island peak (6179m), Lobuche peak (6145m), Pokalde peak (5806m), Honku south peak (6119m) and can spot various animals such as musk dears, leopards, jackals, mountain Thar, birds such as Pheasant, long tails birds and beautiful blend of Sherpa culture during this trip.
We organize this two weeks Everest base camp trekking, the whole year around however the best times to do the trekking is from the beginning of March to mid May and from the beginning of September to mid November.
For the more adventurous trekkers and have an enough time then they have options of returning over the Cho la pass and climb Gokyo Ri Or if they are really fit want to have experience of Climbing/Expedition then one can summit of the Island Peak.
Our Everest base camp trek departure every week from Kathmandu in season time and once in 2 weeks in off season time and private trek can be departure any time, See our selected departure dates. If our set departure dates are not suitable for you, then you may choose your own Departure date as there is not any differences in cost. These types of departure are best suited to couples, families, charity and small groups of friends.
