The Scholarship offers Financial Support to the Economically Weaker Sections from General, SC, ST & PwD Candidates.
Objective: The main objective of the Scholarship is to provide Financial Assistance to Meritorious Students from poor families to meet their day-to-day Expenses while pursuing their Higher Studies.
Scholarship Awarded: Scholarships are awarded on the basis of the Results of Senior Secondary Examination. Total number of scholarships has been divided amongst the State Education Boards based on the State s population in the age group of 18 25 Years.
Eligibility: Students who have scored 80+ Percentile in the relevant stream in Class 12th or Equivalent or having a Family Income of less than 6 Lakhs per annum. Those who are pursuing regular courses & not availing any other Scholarship Scheme are eligible.
Rate of Scholarship: Students will get INR 1,000 per month at Graduation Level for the 1st three years of College & University Courses. INR 2,000 per month at Post-Graduation Level.Students pursuing Professional Courses would get INR 2,000 per month in the 4th & 5th Year. Scholarship is paid for 10 Months in an Academic Year.
