Schools
Teaching at VIT university is structured around ten schools of study. A student is registered in one of the schools, depending on the degree/programme he/she student is interested in pursuing. Research centers are also part of the schools, encouraging interdepartmental collaboration and opportunity for students to participate in exciting research projects. The university offers 18 Undergraduate and 34 Postgraduate programmes.

Infrastructure
VIT campus is spread across a vast area of 250 acres. A striking feature of VIT is the well- planned and comprehensive infrastructure provided for both students and faculty. Fully furnished and well-equipped labs decorate every building in the University with over 55 servers to manage all the data transmissions. Moreover, the university is blessed with ample features that support all kinds of events - Auditoriums, plush open spaces, outdoor stages ,ATMs, canteens, cafeterias, playgrounds, gyms and much more.
VITEEE - 2016
Admission to VIT s B. Tech programmes is based on the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE). 2015 saw over 2,00,000 students applying online for the examination.
The exam is a computer based test (CBT) that is held in centers across the country and abroad. Questions are based on the specified syllabus with options to attempt papers in either Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry,Biology and English(PCB).
VITEEE - 16 will be held from April 6th (Wedesday) to April 17th (Sunday), 2016. The exams will be conducted in 3 sessions on each day. Exam timings (IST)
