Step I: Common Proficiency Test (CPT)
Step II: Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC)
Step III: 3 year training and after 2.5 years of training students are eligible to write final CA course start with CPT .

CPT Details
CPT is entry Level Examination for CA course
CPT is objective type examination requiring student to answer 200 Multiple Choice questions
CPT Examination is now conducted two times in an year, in June and December only

CPT - Subjects for Study

Session - I (10.30 a.m. to 12.30 noon)
Section A: Fundamentals of Accounting 60
Section B: Mercantile Laws 40
Session - II (2 p.m. to 4 p.m.)
Section C: General Economics 50
Section D:Quantitative Aptitude 50

Total 200

Expected Level of Knowledge : Basic Knowledge

CPT - Passing Criteria
Student has to obtain minimum 100 marks i.e. 50% of total Marks for passing CPT.
30% Subject wise minimum marks
Negative marking of 0.25 Marks for every incorrect answer.
Blank answer will fetch Zero marks
