Food Technology is branch of science in which physical, chemical and microbiological techniques are used to process and transform raw ingredients into food. The objective of Food Technology is to converting the raw ingredients into edible components using the best scientific methods. Bachelor of Food Technology is a four years degree program, where students learn about various chemical process to make food products consumable and ready for market. Food processors take clean and harvested crops, butchered animal products and make it attractive marketable food products with long shelf-life. One can also pursue postgraduation in Food Technology, after completion of BE/B.Tech.
