School of Engineering

The different programmes of the School of Engineering will have as their objective, imparting through excellence in teaching from our research and knowledge transfer, the engineering skills that the students require to be highly capable professionals. They will have a global vision with skills of international competence. This will be achieved with innovative design of curricula with inputs from the industry through internship programmes.

Civil Engineering

Civil engineering is the development of infrastructure projects. This can be on a huge scale, such as the development of nationwide transport systems or water supply networks, or on a smaller scale such as the development of individual roads or buildings.All aspects of building a structure fall under the remit of a civil engineer. This can include planning, design, budgeting, surveying, construction management and analysis, and often civil engineering careers encompass a combination of all these elements.

Computer Science Engineering

Computer science deals with the theoretical foundations of information and computation, taking a scientific and practical approach to computation and its applications. Computation is defined as any type of calculation or use of computing technology that follows well-defined models (such as algorithms and protocols) in the practice of information processing (which in turn is defined as the use of these models to transform data in computers).

Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Electrical and Electronics Engineering is concerned with defining the technologies required for our future needs, including communication, entertainment, energy and healthcare. Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical engineering is a diverse subject that derives its breadth from the need to design and manufacture everything from small individual parts and devices (e.g., microscale sensors and inkjet printer nozzles) to large systems (e.g., spacecraft and machine tools). The role of a mechanical engineer is to take a product from an idea to the marketplace. In order to accomplish this, a broad range of skills are needed. The mechanical engineer needs to acquire particular skills and knowledge.

Petroleum Engineering

PE is divided into two parts. The up-stream sector and the down-stream sector The up-stream sector contains activities like exploration, production and exploitation of oil and natural gas. Down-stream sector contains activities like refining marketing and distribution of petroleum products the graduates will be able to work in this sector as well. Master of Business Administration (MBA)

The Master of Business Administration programme (MBA) offered at Presidency University in its course curriculum offers general management subjects, core subjects and electives. BBM is an undergraduate programme, affiliated to Bangalore University. Apart from the prescribed University Syllabus, Presidency College offers various Value Added Programmes and Certificate Courses to make students competent in this competitive world. The Education imparted at Presidency mould the aspirants into capable and responsible human beings.

Students are given an insight into the management techniques prevailing in the corporate world. It exposes students to a variety of subjects: Accounting, Business Law and Ethics, Economics, Finance, Management Information System, Marketing, Strategic Management etc.PDCA had a humble beginning, in the year 2000, offering both BCA & MCA with student strength less than 20. Since then the dept. had witnessed tremendous growth which now has over 350 students and 20 staff members. The department boasts of State of the art infrastructure facility and Spacious library with diverse collection of volumes for enriching the knowledge.

Eligibility
A candidate with PUC or 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 40% of marks in the aggregate of all subjects including languages is eligible for admission to BCA Course. Relaxation to SC/ST, Group I will be extended as per University norms. (Applicable only for Karnataka Students)
