The Maharajas of Jodhpur lived and they ruled from the Jodhpur Fort, the Meharangarh. Around a hundred years ago the Maharaja of Jodhpur built a palace called the Umaid Bhawan Palace.

The Kothi Heritage was built by Bachraj ji Singhvi in 1888 .He was commander in chief and member of state council at that time .
