What is BDS?
Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) is a 5-year undergraduate professional course in dentistry, which includes 4 years of academic study and 1 year of compulsory internship. It is the only recognized dental degree in India for becoming a certified dental surgeon.
Eligibility Criteria for BDS Admission in UP
To apply for BDS courses in Uttar Pradesh, candidates must:
Have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
Secure at least:
50% marks (General)
40% (SC/ST/OBC)
45% (PWD)
Must have qualified NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test).
Age: Minimum 17 years as of 31st December 2025.
