Naval Ship Repair Yard, Karwar invites application from ITI qualified persons in 12 designated trades for filling up 67 Vacancies for enrollment for Apprenticeship training under Apprentices Act - 1961 read with Apprenticeship Rules 1992. The last date for submission of applications is 30th June 2016.

Apprentices,67,Born between 03 Oct 95 to 03 Oct 2002 (Both the dates inclusive) the upper age limit relaxable by five years for SC/ST candidates, 5600/-, 6300/- per month, depending on period of apprenticeship training (as applicable, as per Rule 11 of Apprentices Rules 1992).
Distribution of Vacancies:
For One Year Training -> Fitter - 09, Machinist - 06, Welder - 06, Electrician - 07, Instrument Mech - 03, Mechanic R&A/C - 05, Painter (G) - 02, Electronics Mechanic - 09.
For Two Year Training -> Plumber - 05, Carpenter - 05, Sheet Metal Worker - 02, Mechanical Diesel - 08.
Educational Qualifications: All candidates should be Matriculation pass / Std X pass with minimum of 50 % marks and ITI passed in relevant trade with aggregate of 65% marks.
Minimum Physical Standards: Height - 150 Cms, Weight - 45 Kgs., Chest - expansion 5 Cms, Eye sight - 6/6 to 6/9. Physical standards for physically handicapped person is as per Apprentices Act 1961 read in conjunction with Apprenticeship Rules 1992 regarding standard of physical fitness.
Commencement of Training: The Training for 2016-17 batch will commence from 03 Oct 2016.
Selection Process: Preliminary selection will be on the basis of marks obtained in Matric & ITI Examination. The candidates selected in the preliminary Merit list will be called for a written test tentatively on 26 July 2016. Candidates will be placed in the merit list on the basis of marks obtained in written examination, the result of which will be declared on same day and the Interview / medical test will be conducted on next following day. The written examination for candidates from Andaman & Nicobar Islands will be conducted at INS Jarawa, Port Blair. However, they are required to forward their applications to Karwar.
