Can online learning supplant learning in a classroom

In today s scenario of a pandemic rearing its ugly head everywhere, normal life seems to have been deeply impacted. With social distancing being the norm to follow to keep the infection at bay, classroom learning has taken a backseat as of now. And in its place, online learning has taken centre stage. Thus, academic teaching and vocational training have taken the digital route and entered into the homes of students via video conferencing tools. Does this mean the scenario would become a permanent fixture? The answer is in the negative as the situation will come back to its earlier phase as and when the pandemic subsides. Until then, online learning can be the mechanism to continue education academic or vocational.
