Exhibition Of Photography In Kolkata Called A Thousand Word

Naveen Kishore, 70, is a poet, publisher, photographer, and theatre person. Currently, Emami Art is displaying his photography hat at the Kolkata Centre for Creativity. Four series are included: The Epic and the Elusive, Performing the Goddess, and In a Cannibal Time.
Photographs curated for the exhibition were taken by Kishore over the last two decades. Though the three sets of photographs all feature performing arts, each is entirely different. It includes his spontaneous creative expressions in Seagull Books, Kolkata, as well as a documentary of Chapal Bhaduri and plays in Manipur. Smoke, light, movement, and shadow in Kishore's photographs reinforce his creative genius.
