He has been working as a Freelance writer. Born in 1981, Pratanu Banerjee lives in Kolkata, with his mother and father. His father is a retired professor in English who completed his PHD from Jadavpur University in Feminism in Modern Drama. He had published his thesis in the form of a book from a publisher in Delhi. His father, Swapan Kumar Banerjee had also published the thesis in the form of ebook from a publisher in Australia. His mother is a Housewife.
