The Institute offers B.Tech degree programmes in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. The foundation of the Group was laid by Late Shri R.R. Aggarwal, an eminent philanthropist of his time in the year 1951. Thereafter, Late Shri G.P. Gupta continued with the rich tradition of the Group of imparting quality and affordable education. Prospective candidates must possess a Graduate Degree in any stream from a recognized University with minimum 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) marks. Those appearing in the qualifying examination or awaiting results may apply provisionally, the admission being subject to passing the qualifying examination.

Admission is based on SEE-UPTU conducted by Uttar Pradesh Technical University. If the seats remain vacant, direct admission is also considered subject to the guidelines of the University.

15% of the total intake falls under Management Quota. The admission under this is as per the norms laid out by UPTU.
