Tripura Institute of Paramedical Sciences is one of the premium Institute in North-East India coordinating professional learning experiences and training for students in the field of Paramedical Sciences. Paramedics can be defined as a practice in the field of medical science that deals with pre- hospital emergency services. The increasing demand of skilled paramedical professionals has opened up several career opportunities for young aspirants. Tripura Institute of Paramedical Sciences is a joint venture project with the Government of Tripura and is affiliated with Tripura University (a central university). TIPS has been playing a pivotal role in producing high caliber paramedical professionals since its inauguration, on August 24, 2009 by the Honorable Chief Minister of Tripura Shri Manik Sarkar. TIPS is the only Private Public Partnership venture of its kind and has been set up with an aim of propagating paramedical science as an individual discipline of study in the North Eastern Part of India.
