Pailan World School is the 1st International Global Standards School in Eastern India.We are a school with a vision, aimed at creating citizens of a global

civilization. The emphasis is on a stimulating, happy learning environment where a child's talents can be nurtured to fulfillment. Child-Parent-Teacher interaction is

an important part of the programme. Pailan World School is a residential school with day boarding facilities from class LKG to class XII (IGCSE & A-Level) & LKG to

class X (ICSE).

The school prospectus together with necessary forms and a VCD will be available from the Pailan World School campus and the city office. The application form, medical

form and boarding form (only for residential students) have to be submitted along with payment of a Registration Fee which is non-refundable. Registration does not

guarantee admission to any applicant. Forms downloaded from the website can be duly filled in and sent to the school along with the cost of the prospectus and the

registration fee, both payable by demand draft in Kolkata favouring Pailan World School.
All applicants will be called in for an entrance test (mandatory for all classes) followed by a parent interview with the principal. The entrance test will be held in

the school on any convenient day. Admission will be confirmed only after assessing the performance of the child in the written test and after assessment of the vacant

position in the concerned class/grade. The entrance test shall cover:
Grade - NURSERY, LKG & UKG: Oral Test (Rhymes & Pictorial Questions)
Grade - I to V: Written Test (English, Mathematics & Environmental Studies)
Grade - VI to XI: Written Test (English, Mathematics & Environmental Studies)

Sports Infrastucture:

Pailan world school has the best of facilities as far as sports is concerned. Our children can practice soccer, cricket tennis, volleyball, basketball, badminton,

table tennis regularly in separate arena designated for these sporting activities. Children regularly throw themselves in the most modern swimming pool. The students

are being taught martial arts from junior section itself. They visit our multigym regularly to keep themselves fit. Horse riding has become a passion for our

children.FIFA has come forward to build an academy at our campus .This is a great motivation for our school children. A special ground is being made for the budding

footballers of the FIFA academy who will also reside in our campus. We have decided that besides practicing football, they will also study in our school for their all

round development.

Heritage Center:

Pailan World School in its effort to promote and preserve our cultural heritage has provided a Heritage Centre for its students. It is here that the students can

explore the world of art, sculpture, dance, drama and music. They learn to develop an aesthetic appreciation of the performing and creative arts. Talent is encouraged

to ignite and shine.

An Air-conditioned school bus service shall be available to all day-boarders, residing in and around Kolkata.

Dinning Hall Arrangements:

The students are provided with multi-cuisine meals, consisting of Continental, Oriental & Indian delicacies. The kitchen is extensively arranged with separate sections

for veg & non-veg meals, a tandoor section, cold storage, bakery section and other well-defined areas.
The catering staff are experts from hotel management backgrounds and the chefs are from reputed five star hotels of the city. Hence, the children are made aware of the

different types of food its accompaniments and table manners. Each student is given personal attention and their weight chart is also maintained by the catering staff

to keep a track on their growth. The meals are nutritionally planned by dieticians so that the children take an adequate proportion of vitamins, proteins and

carbohydrates required for their health and well being.

Infirmary:

A hygienic infirmary, well-equipped and staffed by two full-time nurse and a visiting doctor, attends to the preliminary medical attention requirements of the students

and staff. The students undergo regular health check-up and they are given required immunizations. The school maintains a health chart and an immunization card for all

the students.
The height and weight chart is also maintained by the sports instructor and the General Manager. - Catering in order to keep track of their growth and to help them to

stay Fit.

Library & Resource Center:

Apart from reading material on a broad spectrum of subjects and interesting story books for children of all age groups the school library features several local and

international publications of general interest. The school provides one computer per child to facilitate learning and practicing. The children have access to the

internet and the teachers are experts in imparting computer aided teaching in class. The school banks a number of education soft-ware which is used by the faculty to

provide computer aided teaching.

Laboratories:

The school has fully equipped science laboratories and computer laboratories which are utilized by the University of Cambridge International Examinations and
