Age Limit: Between 18 and 27 years for Technician-'B/C' and LDC, 32 years for Scientific Assistant-'B' and 42 years for Engineer-'D'/Scientific Officer-'D'. Age relaxation as per Govt. rules.

Essential Qualifications:

Technician 'B' -> Minimum 60% marks in Secondary Examination with 4 years of relevant experience after obtaining requisite qualification (No ITI certificate) (OR) Secondary Examination pass with 3 years of relevant experience after obtaining requisite qualification along with ITI certificate based on a curriculum of one year duration (OR) Secondary Examination pass with 2 years of relevant experience after obtaining requisite qualification along with ITI certificate based on a curriculum of two year duration (OR) Higher Secondary Examination pass with minimum 50% marks in Science and Maths put together and minimum 50% marks in Secondary examination (No ITI certificate).

Engineer 'D' -> 1st class B.E./B. Tech. with 7 years' post qualification experience or M. Tech.(after B.E.) with 5 years' post qualification experience.

Technician 'C' -> Minimum 60% marks in Secondary Examination with 9 years of relevant experience after obtaining requisite qualification (No ITI certificate) (OR) Secondary Examination pass with 8 years of relevant experience after obtaining requisite qualification along with ITI certificate based on a curriculum of one year duration (OR) Secondary Examination pass with 7 years of relevant experience after obtaining requisite qualification along with ITI certificate based on a curriculum of two year duration (OR) Higher Secondary Examination pass with minimum 50% marks in Science and Maths put together and minimum 50% marks in Secondary examination with 5 years of relevant experience after obtaining requisite qualification (No ITI certificate) (OR) Higher Secondary Examination pass along with ITI certificate based on a curriculum of one year duration.

Scientific Assistant 'B' -> For Biophysics & Structural Genomics Division and Computational Science Division - B. Sc. with minimum 60% marks or B.Sc. (Hons.) with minimum 55% marks. For B.M.(Civil), B.M.(Electrical)Section - Diploma/ Licentiate in Civil/ Electrical Engg (3 years after secondary) with 6 years' of relevant experience after obtaining requisite qualification.

Scientific Officer-'D' (Library) -> 19 years' post qualification experience with minimum 50% marks in B.Sc + at least 60% marks in BLIS or equivalent diploma (OR) 13 years' post qualification experience with minimum 50% marks in B.Sc(H) + at least 60% marks in BLIS or equivalent diploma (OR) 13 years' post qualification experience with minimum 50% marks in B.Sc + minimum 60% marks in MLIS.

LDC -> Graduate Degree or H.S. passed in English and Maths with atleast 3 years experience in routine office work AND a typing speed of 35 w.p.m in English corresponding to typing speed of 10500 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word.
