Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology has a Central Library & information Center
encourages each user to use the SIR MVIT library to his/her advantage. The library is absolutely automated. At the moment the library has 59,040 volumes, 17,000 titles of books, regarding 950 back volumes of scientific & technical journals, 268 video cassettes, & 1050 CD/DVD’s. There are eighty five complex copies of the journals. The Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology library moreover subscribes to IEEE / IEE Electronic Library, yankee Society of Mechanical Engineers & Springer Link E-Resources through INDEST – AICTE syndicate. Library follows the Open Access System encouraging the user to browse freely within the stack area. The library is housed during a spacious block with an area of 1400.8 sqm spread over 2 floors.
