Suryamitra Solar Training program

Switch ON (Environment Conservation Society, www.SwitchON.org.in), a leading NGO working in rural East India, will conduct the Suryamitra Skill Development Solar Training Program in West Bengal. The 3 month residential training is completely free of cost and good students will get job / contract work opportunities after the training. The training will be held at the TapovON Solar Academy in Village Betna, Hanskhali, Nadia and will be held from July - October.

The National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) under Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has inaitied Suryamitra training program to provide skilled technicians for installation, commissioning, Operation & Maintenance in the field of solar technology. The main objective of this program is to train the 10+2 passed, ITI/diploma holders/ as field technicians to execute National Solar Mission (NSM) programmes across the country.

Required Qualification: - 10+2 (Not less than 18 years of age)
Preference: - ITI and diploma holders in Electrical, Mechanical, and Electronics branches. (Persons with higher qualifications are not eligible for this program.) - Persons belonging to rural areas /Women/SC/ST candidates are encouraged to apply.
