Swami Pranavananda Gems & Jewellery Academy

Swami Pranavananda Gems & Jewellery Academy (SPGJA), Serampore is a non-profit institution (Society Registered under W.B. Act XXVI of 1961), recognised by Government of West Bengal. SPGJA is also an ISO 9001:2008 certified Academy. The Academy is however engaged in the promotion of Jewellery industry in West Bengal by imparting efficient Vocational Training for human resource development. The Academy is also engaged in providing faculty assistance during Skill Development Programme for Jewellery Artisans organized by Bureau of Indian Standards, Kolkata (Govt. of India).

The Jewellery Designing training (1 year program) of the Academy is the most attractive one. It has been observed that the students getting admitted in this training are especially from rural and urban areas of West Bengal. Completing the training, students have been recruited at the top jewellery concerns in West Bengal like P.C. Chandra Jewellers, Senco G-O-L-D Jewellers, Shree Ganesh Jewellers, Infinity Lifestyle etc. as well as in other parts in India like Tanishq, K.P. Sanghvi International, Suraj Diamond & Jewellery, R.P. Ornament etc. Any of the trained students is not found unemployed since today. They are, however, ruling the roost with an aim to develop their glittering career as Jewellery Designer.
