West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) (A Government of West Bengal Enterprise) invites applications from Indian Nationals (Only GATE 2016 Qualifying Candidates) to fill-up the post of Assistant Engineer in Electrical and Mechanical. The Online Registration start from 10th February 2016 and close on 10th March 2016.

Age Limit: 18 to 27 Years as on 01/01/2015 for all the posts with relaxation of 3 Years for OBC (A) & OBC (B) and 5 Years for SC & ST candidates of West Bengal only. Persons with Disabilities (PWD Category) candidates are entitled for a relaxation of 10 years in the upper age limit for all the posts.

Pay Band and Grade Pay: 15,600 39,100 + Grade Pay 5,400/-

Educational Qualifications:

Assistant Engineer (Electrical) -> Full Time 4 years' B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) Degree (including candidates who have joined the course through lateral entry) in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics (Combined)/B.Sc (H) in Physics with 3 years' B.Tech in Electrical Engineering /Power Engineering from any Institute approved by AICTE/IITs. Final year candidates are also eligible to apply.

Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) -> Full Time 4 years' B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engineering) Degree (including candidates who have joined the course through lateral entry) in Mechanical Engineering from any recognized Institute approved by AICTE/IITs. Final year candidates are also eligible to apply.

Application Fee: 400/- through a triplicate Bank Challan (as additional bank charge will applicable on the same).

Selection Process: Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2016 score of the candidates in the concerned disciplines. The Graduate Engineers from the relevant disciplines, willing for taking up a career with WBSEDCL are required to appear in GATE-2016 in the appropriate disciplines and required to appear for corresponding GATE papers. The shortlisted candidates will be called for Personal Interview.

How to Apply: Eligible Candidates have to Apply Online separately for WBSEDCL. The Online Application process shall commence from 10/02/2016 and will close on 10/03/2016.

After applying online, candidates are required to print the system generated Registration Slip with unique Application No. The original registration Slip with required WBSEDCL's Copy of CHALLAN and all credentials should be duly self-attested and the name of the post applied for should be super-scribed at the top of the sealed envelope and sent by ordinary post to THE ADVERTISER POST BAG NO. 781 CIRCUS AVENUE POST OFFICE KOLKATA-700017 latest by 15/03/2016.
