West Bengal Judicial Service Examination 2016 Apply Online

West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) will hold the West Bengal Judicial Service Examination, 2016 in accordance with the existing rules for recruitment of Civil Judge (Junior Division) in West Bengal Judicial Service. The closing date for submission of online applications is 2nd May 2016.

Eligibility and Qualification:

(1) A citizen of India or such a person of other nationality as declared eligible by Government of India;
(2) A degree in Law from any University or Institution affiliated to any University recognized by the State Government or the Central Government;
(3) Enrolment as an advocate in the roll of Bar Council of any State or Union Territory in India on the date of advertisement for the examination;
(4) Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali) - vide Finance Department's Notification No.1243-F(P) dated 02.03.2016.

Selection Process: The West Bengal Judicial Service Examination will be held in three successive stages, viz., (i) Preliminary Examination (multiple choice objective type), (ii) Final Examination (Conventional Type - Written) and (iii) Personality Test. The Preliminary Examination will be held in Kolkata (Code - 01) and Darjeeling (Code - 02) in June 2016 or thereabout. Only candidates of the three Hill Sub-divisions, viz., Darjeeling Sadar, Kalimpong and Kurseong will be allowed to appear at Darjeeling Centre. The Final Examination will be held at Kolkata in August 2016 or thereabout.

Application Fee: 210/- only + Service Charge 1% of Examination Fee subject to a minimum of 5/- only for online payment through debit / credit card plus 12.36% of service charge as Govt. Duty or Service Charge of 5/- only for Net Banking or Service Charge of 20/- only for payment through Bank Counter (off-line payment). SC/ ST candidates of West Bengal and Persons with disabilities (PWD) having physical disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee.

How to Apply: Candidates are required to Register "One Time Registration". Applications can be submitted through online only in Commission's (WBPSC) website. The closing date for for submission of online application is 02/05/2016 up to 12:00 Midnight.
