ITINERARY

Day 1 : DELHI / CHANDIGARH TO SHIMLA (295 KMS / 11 HRS : 295 KMS / 8 HRS)

Depart for Shimla. On arrival check in hotel. Late evening enjoy walking on the Mall Road to enjoy the real chill of Shilma.Shimla, was the Summer capital of India under British rule . Presently, it is the state capital of Himachal Pradesh, with its population around 1.6 lacs (Shimla town only). Shimla has seen many important historical events such as the famous Shimla Pact between India And Pakistan which was signed here. The place is also famous for its natural beauty, architectural buildings, wooden crafts and apples. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 2 : SHIMLA KUFRI SHIMLA (55 KMS / 2 HRS)

After Breakfast Excursion to Kufri.Kufriis famous for its Himalayan National Park, One can see the endless Himalayan Panorama from Kufri,various places in and around. Later in the day visit - mosques built, Vice regal Lodge, Christ Church built, The Gaiety Theatre - the first beauty contest of world was supposed to start (1887), The Grind lays Bank (1912) - the world wide bank started by Robert Melville Grind lay. The Scandal Point and The famous Shopping Plaza. Overnight stay in Shimla.

Day 3 : SHIMLA MANALI (290 KMS / 8 HRS)

After breakfast depart for Manali.On the way visit Pandho Dem, Hanogi Mata Temple. On arrival check in hotel.Overnight stay at Hotel. Manaliis blessed with natures finest gifts. The enchanting valley is so picturesque that it has earned the name Switzerland of India. The sky touching mountain peaks, the kingdom of clouds, the colorful valley, the lush green vegetation, the friendly people and many more things come to one s mind when they think about Manali.

Day 4 MANALI LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast sightseeing of places in and around Manali, Like Hadimba temple, Manu temple, Vashisht Bath, Van Vihar,Tibetan Monastery, Club House and evening shopping at the local market Mall Road.Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 5 : MANALI - ROHTANG PASS MANALI OR SOLANG VALLEY

Full day Excursion to Rohatang Pass. Situated at an altitude of 3979 mtrs above sea level and 51 kms outside Manali is the mighty Rohtang Pass - the gateway to Lahaul-Spiti valley. It affords a wide panoramic view of the mountains. Here one sees the majesty of the mountains at its height and splendor.Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 6 : MANALI DHARAMSHALA (235 KMS / 6 HRS)

After breakfast check out hotel. Depart for Dharamshala.On the way visit Kullu Vaishno Devi Temple. Kullu Vaishno Devi Templeis situated about 4km from Dhalpur in Kullu. An idol of Goddess Durga is installed here. A small cave here enshrines an idol of goddess Vaishno Devi. A saint had established this temple in 1964 A.D. After his death, Vaishno Devi Temple is managed by Sharda Sewa Sangh. A Lord Shiva Temple is also present here in the complex. Arrive Dharamshala & Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 7 : DHARAMSALA - DALHOUSIE (120KM/3.5 HRS)

After breakfast visit Baijnath - the oldest existing Shiva temple in the country, War Memorial, Kangra Art Museum, Dall Lake, McLeodgnj, St. Johns Church etc. Later depart to Dalhousie by Road. Arrive at Dalhousie and check into the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure or optional visit to Chamba Valley known for its 8th century Laxminarayan temple and Bhuri Singh Museum which houses a rare collection of Kangra Pintings. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 8 : DALHOUSIE SIGHTSEEING

Full day sightseeing to Khajjiar, 18 kms from Dalhousie. It s one of the most scenic saucer shaped Plateau and is surrounded by dense pine and deodar forests. Its beauty has further been enhanced by a small lake in the center with a floating island and a 9 hole golf course here are the other interesting places to cover. Return to Dalhousie and overnight stay at the hotel in Dalhousie.

Day 9 : DALHOUSIE TO AMRITSAR (225 KMS / 6 HRS)

After breakfast at hotel, checkout and proceed to Amritsar. Upon Arrival in Amritsar your day is free for personal activities or Visit old City. Overnight Stay at Hotel.

Day 10 : AMRITSAR SIGHTSEEING / DEPARTURE

After breakfast, proceed for Amritsar City Tour Visit Golden Temple & Jalianwala Bagh. Later in the afternoon proceed to Wagah Border The final frontier, Wagah about 28 kms. from Amritsar is the only border crossing between India and Pakistan. Its an interesting experience especially at sunset when the 'Retreat' ceremony takes place with the BSF on the Indian Side of the Border. The changing of the guards and the ceremonial lowering of the flags ceremony is carried out with great pomp. Later transfer to Amritsar Railway Station for your return Journey back home Or Come Back to Chandigarh / Delhi.
