But before we begin, let s gather some knowledge on BAMS. BAMS stands for bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery [BAMS]. It is a course for the students who want to get into the UG level training program. It s an intense training program which is 5.6 years long.

A lot of subjects are there in this course which are named as Maulik Siddhant Avum Ashtang Hridaya, Charak Samhita, Dravyaguna Vigyan, Rachana Sharir, Rasashastra and also uman anatomy, physiology, toxicology, forensic medicine, Padartha Vigyan And Ayurved Itihas, pathology & diagnostic procedures, principles of medicine, pharmacology, E.N.T etc. One has to prepare for 4 specialized subjects for this course and get to choose from the list.

The Central Council of Indian Medicine or CCIM looks after the B.A.M.S course in India.

Standard fees of the course

The course fees of BAMS are generally between INR 1,50,000 to INR 3,00,000 in India. A slight difference from city to city may be seen.

Expected salary range of the BAMS doctors
