The Andaman islands is a union territory of India

The Andaman Islands may have been named after the Hindu god Hanuman, and the name may come from the Sanskrit form of the god's name, Andaman. According to a legend, the Malays, who have known the islands since ancient times, called them the islands of Handuman because that is how they pronounced the name of Hanuman in the Ramayana. Over time, Handuman became Andaman.
