Restaurant was conceived in 1987 to offer Madurai residents, and foreign and domestic tourists multi-cuisine food at affordable price assuring quality, taste, and hygiene in a quite ambiance. Often, non vegetarian restaurants do not serve tasty or variety of vegetarian food. Mahal believes in catering to both vegetarian and non vegetarian customers. The restaurant was opened on December 1987 and has now been serving the community for well over two and a half decades. We have catered to weddings, conferences and family get together in Madurai and outside Madurai. In 1994, we catered to All India Scientists Conference that was held in Mandapam for a whole week. In 2012, we catered to All India Quality Circle Conference that was held in Lakshmi School for three days for 3000 delegates. We were official caterer for day boarders in Lakshmi school and Honeywell for several years.
On March 8, 2015, Mahal opened a new self service outlet in Pudur for the convenience of Maduraites living in Madurai North. Parcel service and door delivery will be the specialty of the outlet.
