Graphic Design for Kids

Course Overview, Content & Outcome:

Ever wondered how cool posters and artworks are made for movies, music albums, products, advertisements and so on? It is all through the power of Graphic Design! Mastering Graphic Design facilitates the development of a child in various disciplines that are very beneficial to their overall progress and the skills learnt here can hugely beneficial to them in their immediate environment.

Like Animation – Graphic Design too employs the child’s left and right brain to speed their overall development. This involves not only tasks such as generating images, manipulating and colour correcting photographs. It also requires a child to research, schedule and learn how to organize the various elements they will need in their project while learning how to manage time in the process.

Graphic Design for Kids has been designed to facilitate a child’s learning. Keeping this in mind, we have ensured that the two softwares that we are teaching – Inkscape and Scribe are free. This allows every child to install them on their computers and go beyond the scope of the course in their free time.

In graphic Design for Kids we will cover the following topics:

1. Matte Painting

2. Product Design

3. Logo Design

4. Photo Manipulation / Retouching / Colour Correction

5. Character Visualization / Design / Development

6. Environment Visualization / Design / Development

Every student as will be given two projects to complete under our guidance and these are to make a desktop wallpaper for their computer and create a character of their own. This will ensure they are able to practically apply all the skills they have been taught in the course. On completion of the workshop students will find that they are able to take their ideas, research them, refine it and communicate them in the most effective and interesting manner. What could be a better way for your child to spend their vacations than have unlimited fun, learn essential skills and develop their personalities.
