INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (IISED) was started with the sole AIM of providing opportunities for the holistic development of the oppressed and neglected section of society from the rural and urban areas of the most backward southern districts of Tamilnadu.

The IISED, Madurai has been implementing integrated health and development programmes for the backward community in Madurai district, Tamilnadu, India since 2008.
