Psychology
Psychology is the scientific study of the mental health and behavioural functions of humans and animals.It is an academic and applied discipline that involves the scientific study and behaviors.A course in psychology equips the students with an in depth knowledge in various aspects like child psychology, industrial psychology, counseling psychology, personality development etc. In addition to the theory papers the students have practical papers every year which will give them practical insight into the subjects.
Journalism
Journalism is the practice of investigating and reporting events, issues and trends to the mass audiences of print, broadcast and online media such as newspapers, magazines and books, radio and television stations and networks, and blogs and social and mobile media.
The whole aim of journalism should be service. The true function of journalism is to educate the public mind and read the mind of the country and to give definite and fearless expression to that mind. Public has the right to know the truth. It must be informed objectively as to what is happening. Definitely the Press has power, but to misuse it is crime - Mahatma Gandhi.
The Journalism course is aimed at giving the students more than just an overview of the subject; it intends to make the students ready for a career in print journalism and related areas.

These regional languages differ from each other so much that it is not possible to communicate with people of other regions without a common language. English is an Universal language.A english graduate as a beginner can seek employment in mass communication firms, research institutes, government agencies, entertainment and in public relation. They can work as a tourist guides in travel agencies or can be self-employed. English graduates or post graduates candidates can work as a teacher in colleges, schools and in universities. They can also offer training in english language by opening their own coaching institue or tutorial center.

BA - Bachelor of Arts is a three year under graduateprogramme conducted in six semesters. It is a trimajor course with Journalism , Phychology and Optional English . The curriculum is followed as per the revised syllabus . The core subjects are studied by the students in all the six semesters. Languages are studied during the first four semesters there are also interdisciplinary subjects such as Indian Constitution & Environment Science per semester in the Curriculum . This course provides an opportunity to combine a practical education in journalism with practical psychology . It offers an excellent preparation for a career in journalism .
The students are appraised based on their involvement and participation in tutorials, lecture classes and practical studies. They are also assessed by the project work and seminars apart from the examinations conducted by the Institution and the University.
Internal Assessment : Internal marks are assessed based on the performance of the student in tests, assignments, seminars, attendance, punctuality, interaction relating to subject during class hours, approach in solving the problem - awareness, progress, creative thinking development and the overall attitude of the student.

Our Placement Service The Training & Placement Cell Christ University looks after the interest of the students and the recruiting organizations by acting as channel of communication between them.
